Went on Fish Fry night, waited 45 minute for a table for seven. Mostly middle-age crowd, families, guys hanging around a bar. Some of the bar/wait staff are a bit surly. Food wasn't anything special, fish batter was very oily, fries were unnaturally crunchy and mushy inside. Couple of things I found odd, the decor is simply garbage on the walls. I'm not sure what look they were going for, the country-kitchen type or old Americana, our table sat under the German airplane, and we were surrounded by old pictures of long-since dead people. The back part of the restaurant seemed to be stuck in someone's idea of a junk yard. Secondly, there was a bus boy (I guess) who wandered around the rooms every few minutes with a blank, empty stare on his face. He'd clean tables, but he hovered around waiting for customers to leave so he could clean the tables. We called him Trog, or Gort. It was nothing short of bizarre. Not going back...

Always love the food at Rooney's. Wish they had fresh fries, but never the less it's good. Staff is always friendly. They are not a chain restaurant so come give them a try.

Nothing memorable or special. Food was ok at best. The salad was very scimpy and wilted not what you'd expect for a side salad that you'd purchased aside from the entree. Nothing to make us return.

Their patio offers a comfortable place to eat and drink for a modest price. A reasonable selection of tap beer is available plus the usual assortmented of bottled beers. Mixed drinks and wine are available, but I have yet to notice a wine list, although one perhaps does exist. The food is standard fare for a bar / restaurant and arrives generally well prepared, albeit I do not eat here often enough to provide an overview of the menu. All-in-all, a decent place for lunch outside on a lazy Saturday if you happen to be looking for an alternative to the numerous restaurants clustered around Palm Bay Rd and Babcock.

A Palm Bay traditional escape from fast food. Have been enjoying Rooney's for 30 years. Never a bad meal or drink and the prices are good. Try the fish Fri. Nights.
